For Water III System Improvements Penwood Avenue Elevated Tank Exterior Painting To comply with the governor's executive orders regarding face to face public meetings, the bid opening will be accomplished through the use of a teleconference bid opening. The teleconference number and access code will be provided to all bid holders. The Project consists of the exterior painting of a 500,000 gallon elevated tank, piping repainting, modify overflow pipe discharge, replace fall prevention device, install vandal guard, repair roof stair, install swing gate, replace aviation light fixture, install bowl rigging coupling, and all related work. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The deminimis and minor components waiver apply to this contract.
