Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Rockwood, Maine. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,080-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

**As of February 17, 2022, the sole bidder of this project is Nickerson & O’Day Inc. with a bid amount of $293,773. Somerset County (for the Rockwood Fire Department, Rockwood, ME) is requesting proposals for the expansion/ addition (18 feet x 60 feet) of the Rockwood Fire Station in Rockwood Maine. 1. Scope of Work to be performed by Contractor A. Remove trees to the left side of the station in the building area B. Prepare the ground for the slab C. Put in a 6 (inch) slab pinned to the existing with a raised haunch to match the existing building D. Run radiant heat lines in the slab and tie into the existing system E. Pour floor with 400PSI mix and re-bar F. Frame walls with 2 x 6 construction G. Remove shingles on the South (left) side of roof and redo with addition to match north (right) side H. Sheath for ice and water and shingle I. Install metal siding to match existing siding J. Install new overhead door to match existing doors K. Cut a new entrance doorway in the new addition. Take out a window and cut cement to the floor. Remove rear door for a second access point L. Install new rear entrance door in back of the new addition M. Install all new electrical lines to include outlets, LED ceiling lights and tie into the existing electrical panel N. Insulate the structure to meet code O. Apply interior sheathing on walls and ceiling that is moisture resistant and waterproof panels from the haunch up 6 feet P. Cut out rear of what will be the middle bay once the addition has been added and put in a new garage door that matches the from door that will be 12 ft. wide x 12 ft. high Q. Remove all debris, clean the site when the project is done The Project will be awarded at the next regularly scheduled Commissioners Meeting, February 16, 2022. This project is to be done this year with a start this spring/ early summer.
