Site work for a mixed-use development in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Includes the repairing of approximately 50,000 square feet of the Cell 3 cap by backfilling with on-site engineered fill and installing approximately 15,000 square feet of geogrid and geosynthetic clay liner, making drainage system improvements by regrading drainage ditches, removal of existing culverts and installation of new culverts, regrading and construction of roadways, and temporary removal and replacement of a compressor shed and associated mechanical equipment. The removal of approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing diversion berms and downchutes on the eastern side of Cell 2 is also included as an alternate bid item. The work to be performed is located at the Ivy Material Utilization Center at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. All work shall be as described or implied in the Specifications and indicated on the Drawings. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.
