Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Wilmington, Delaware. Design plans call for site work for a educational facility.

A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Cleveland White Building is located on the DSCYF Campus at the northwest corner of the intersection of Rt 141 and Faulkland Road near Wilmington, DE. This campus also contains the Delaware Youth & Family Center, Ferris School for Boys, and the New Castle County Detention Center (NCCDC), and there are three entrance roads to the property. Ferris School for Boys and the NCCDC are secure juvenile detention facilities. This project involves a complete renovation of the Cleveland White Building, which recently had the roof replaced. The building is an old 2-1/2 story building consisting of 15,130 sf with a 3430 sf partial basement. The project includes, but is not limited to, replacement of the HVAC system, replacement of the entire interior electrical system, structural work to level the floors and repair/replace walls, replacement of interior stairs, replacement of all windows, doors, and fixtures, renovation of doorways, bathrooms, and entrance/egress to meet ADA standards, and possible asbestos abatement. In addition, a 5,800 square foot addition to the building is being considered. Each respondent will be required to provide all necessary design services to complete the entirety of the project in order to obtain competitive bids from responsible contractors. This may include, but is not limited to, architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and coordination with other professional services provided by the State of Delaware. Construction administration and oversight services must also be provided as part of the successful respondent's scope of work. Since the project is located at a secure facility requiring background checks prior to entry, site visits will not be available until after a selection is made.
