Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in New Paltz, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a 14,290-square-foot municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The East of Wallkill Emergency Operations Center Shelter Project consists of the following: Demolition of the existing metal building on site, interconnection of the 911 Memorial, and construction of a new facility that will serve the Village of New Paltz as well as the Town of New Paltz. This project calls for the design and construction of a new 14,290 square foot facility, including an eight-bay firehouse and road and parking improvements. Additionally, the expanded facility will include an emergency operations center that will be used as a command center and staging area by police, fire, national guard and Federal Emergency Management Agency personnel as needed during future disaster events. The existing substation will be demolished by the Village. Bids will be received for multiple prime contracts in accordance with Wick's Law requirements. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in attached bid forms. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. A Bidder, upon 1) making the deposit required for the Bid Documents, 2) submitting a Proposal accompanied by a certified check or other security in accordance with the requirements contained in the plans and specifications and public advertisement for bids, and 3) returning the plans and specifications used by such Bidder in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the Contract, or rejection of the Bid, shall have returned to them the full amount of the deposit for one copy of the plans and specifications. Organized site visits will not be held during this bidding period or during the pre-bid conference due to COVID-19 concerns. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. All questions in regards to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be made verbally.
