Site work and paving for a civil project in New Britain Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

This project shall involve the replacement of damaged roadway pavement, restoration of roadside swales and slope stabilization at the existing culverts on Sellersville Road near Curley Hill Road and on Walters Road near Helens Lane with alternates for a roadside swale stabilization and stream stabilization at a culvert on Upper Church Road and removal of gravel bars at one, two or all three of the culverts. The projects will need to be scheduled so that either the Sellersville Road or Walters Road is open at all times This project shall be completed in accordance with Contract Documents and PennDOT Specifications Publication 408, dated 2020. Prequalification of bidders, as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408 is required on this Project. All contractors and subcontractors must be in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act. In addition, proof of previous experience with this type of work will be required. Bid Bond(issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania), Bank Money Order, or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to New Britain Township, an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds will be provided by the Bidder to the Township upon the awarding of the bid, and proof of insurance in accordance with Paragraph 1.10 of Document 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The accepted bid will be awarded by the New Britain Township Board of Supervisors at a subsequent board meeting. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids, and exercise its judgement as to the comparative merit of the products and services offered. Award of the contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Please note that the Bid Form was revised to include a pre-determined amount of $3,000 for the "Unforeseen Project Water Pollution Controls" line items as specified in the Bid Documents.
