Site work and paving for a civil project in Dermott, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The Purpose of This Project Is to Overlay Approximately 8.772 Miles of Hwy. 35 in Chicot and Desha Counties. This Project Consists of Clearing and Grubbing, Removal and Disposal Items, Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, Achm Surface Course, Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement, Achm Patching of Existing Roadway, Maintenance of Traffic, Minor Drainage Structures, Erosion Control Items, Pavement Marking, Polymer Overlay on Three Bridges (Total Length 618.69'), and Misc. Items. Routes - 35 Sections - 9,10 and 11 County - Chicot And Desha Length - 8.889 miles in length. Questions pertaining to projects during the advertisement period should be addressed to the Program Management Division at pmd@ardot.gov. The deadline to submit a question is the Wednesday prior to the scheduled letting date. A question submitted after the close of business on the Wednesday prior to the scheduled letting date may not receive a response. In order to have a bid considered, contractors must furnish a proposal guaranty consisting of either a bidder's bond or a certified or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. In order for a bond to be acceptable to the Department, the company issuing the bond must be named in the Department of Treasury Listing of companies holding Certificates of Authority as acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The Underwriting Limitation of the bonding company shall be adhered to. Any excess (between the face amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) shall be protected by reinsurance provided by an acceptable reinsuring company. These contracts are subject to normal prequalification, licensing and bonding requirements, applicablelabor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other Federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. The Arkansas Department of Transportation complies with all civil rights provisions of federal statutes and related authorities that prohibited discrimination in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. Therefore, the Department does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, national origin, religion, or disability, in the admission, access to and treatment in Department's programs and activities, as well as the Department's hiring or employment practices. The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities. This Proposal Contains the Special Provision "establishing Contract Time - Working Day Contract" in Which the Bidder Will Determine the Number of Working Days to Complete the Project. The Number of Trainees Required for This Project is 3. ARDOT - Hwy. 65 - Yellow Bend Port (S) The Department will allow the use of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA). All provisions for the production and placement of conventional HMA mixtures as stipulated in Section 410 Construction Requirements and Acceptance of Asphalt Concrete Plant Mix Courses of the Standard Specifications for Highway Construction It is anticipated that AT&T Arkansas will be issued a work order by October 31, 2020, with an estimated completion date of January 29, 2021.
