This is an invitational Tender for those pre-qualified (PREQUAL-ENG-2020-207). The successful Contractor will reconstruct a portion of Oxford Road 54 (Huron Street) in Woodstock. Oxford Road 54 (Huron St.) is a 4-lane cross section urban arterial road located within the City of Woodstock. This north/south corridor is approximately 1.4 km in length extending from Dundas St. to Oxford Road 35 (Devonshire Ave.); whereas the 900 m section from Devonshire Ave. to Ingersoll Ave. will be completed as part of Phase 1 under this Contract. Huron Street serves as a transit route for City of Woodstock bus transit system. It experiences an annual average daily traffic (AADT) volume of about 11,000. The County is pursuing a 'Road Diet' initiative to improve overall traffic conditions, reduce accidents and meet Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) by reducing the existing 4-lanes to 2-lanes with a centre two-way left-turn lane and dedicated bike lanes and several sidewalk and curb improvements. The general scope of work includes: - Full depth pavement structure removal and replacement, convert 4 lane cross section to three lane cross section (two single lanes with centre two-way left turn lane). - Install temporary and permanent traffic signal infrastructure at the intersection of Huron Street at Devonshire Avenue and Huron Street at Ingersoll Avenue - Curb and gutter and sidewalk installation to meet AODA standards - Repaving and line painting - Restoration of boulevards and driveways - Excavation & regrading of road allowance; filling of ditches - Road base replacement - Remove/replace existing sanitary sewer, maintenance holes, laterals, clean outs and connections - Remove/replace existing watermain, valves, hydrants and connections - Remove/replace 25mm water services where required - Conduit installation - Relocation of telecommunication pedestals and hydro poles (to be completed by others).
