The CITY OF KISSIMMEE is seeking SEALED PROPOSALS on the following: Request for Proposal Number RFP2021-001 Playground Cover & Basketball Court Improvement at Kissimmee Charter Academy. The purpose of this project is to provide all labor, material, permitting, and supervision required for the build of: a. A covered Metal Roof over the playground area and, b. To enlarge the existing outdoor Basketball court concrete area and to provide a Metal roof over the basketball court area At the Kissimmee Charter Academy, located at 2850 Bill Beck Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34744 in accordance with scope of work in the bid documents. Prepare the site for the new covered roof and repair and patch all concrete and ground surfaces as required. Provide design, engineering, and installation of a metal structure and roof at the playground, including, but not limited to, required permits, foundations, structure, drainage, power, conduits, led lights, and any other associated items for a complete turnkey project. The metal structure and roof shall closely match the other metal structures and roofs at this school. Demolish existing basketball hoops and prepare existing concrete slab edge for expansion. Provide design, engineering, and installation of the additional concrete area to enlarge existing concrete court to be sufficient for a fullsize basketball court and an additional 8' apron along the court length. Please note that the court must have a minimum of 1% slope in one plane to guarantee the removal of water. Prepare and refinish basketball court concrete surfaces and apply coating using "Acrylotex" or approved equal, prime, and paint court lines to the high school basketball regulation specifications. Provide, engineer, and install 2 (Two) inground basketball goal hoops at regulation height patch all concrete areas as required. Also, supply 2 (two) portable regulation height retractable basketball hoops. Provide design, engineering, and installation of a metal structure and roof at the basketball court and apron, including, but not limited to, required permits, foundations, structure, drainage, conduits, power, led lights and any other items for a complete turnkey project. Regrade and re-sod the area around the court for proper drainage. The metal structure and roof shall closely match the other metal structures and roofs at this school. Deadline for questions is October 20, 2020 at 4pm, an addendum if needed will be sent out to all vendors not later than October 22, 2020 by 5pm. Project Schedule: Ninety (90) calendar days from notice to proceed until substantial completion, or other timeframes as agreed in writing. It is preferred to complete the Playground Area prior to the Basketball Court. Provide a project schedule showing anticipated milestones for approval. This bid requires the following bonds: A. 5% bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the state of Florida submitted with the bid. B. 100% Performance bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the state of Florida prior to commencement of work. The City of Kissimmee reserves the right to accept and/or reject any or all proposals, with or without cause, to waive technicalities or to accept the proposal which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the City of Kissimmee. Persons are advised that, if they decide to appeal any decision made concerning the award of this proposal, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
