Major requirements associated with this utility relocation project are: 1.Mobilization 2.Installation of approximately 8 manholes 3.Install Approximately 850 LF of 8" to 12" Sewer Pipe 4.Install Approximately 270 LF of 1-1/2" Low Pressure Sewer Pipe 5.Install Approximately 1,000 LF of 8" Sewer Force Main Pipe 6.Install Approximately 6,700 LF of 2" to 10" Water Pipe 7.Install Approximately 3,200 LF of 4" to 18" Water and Sewer Encasement Pipe 8.Install 160 LF of a 3"-18" Bores 9.Sewer service connections 10.Water service connections 11.Valve, Hydrant, and fitting Installations 12.Surface Restoration of Open Cut Areas 13.Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Sampling 14.Bypass Pumping 15.Clearing and Grubbing 16.Trench and Safety Systems Contractor's Bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total maximum Bid Price, payable without recourse to City of Mayflower, or a Bid Bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract and execute Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of Contract. The Notice of Award of Contract shall be given by the Owner within sixty (60) calendar days following the opening of Bids. All bids are subject to the conditions of the Information for Bidders of the contract documents. 3. BONDS The successful Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms provided each in the amount of One Hundred (100) Percent of the Contract Price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to City of Mayflower. Bidders are cautioned that Bids for this Project are subject to compliance with Arkansas Law for construction of Public Works as found in Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-101, etc. The Bidder shall thoroughly acquaint himself and comply with the provisions of these Acts. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received. Bidders must be licensed in compliance with Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Law found in Arkansas Code 17-25-101, etc. The following documents comprise the complete bid package and must be submitted to be considered a complete responsive bid.
