The Work of this Contract is generally described as general construction of wastewater treatment facility buildings and basins including site work, yard piping, structural, architectural, process piping and equipment, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, and instrumentation and control. The Work of this Contract includes the construction of the following structures: Preliminary Treatment Building - Consisting of Fine Screening and Grit Removal Equalization and Pumping Wetwell - The existing SBR system is to be converted into equalization tanks with a Pump Wetwell constructed into the existing equalization tank. A valve vault will be constructed adjacent to the Pumping Wetwell. Oxidation Ditch - Includes a selector basin for filament control and a three ring oxidation ditch for biological treatment of BOD and nitrogen. Secondary Clarifiers - Circular clarifiers to settle out biomass and collect biomass to control the sludge retention time. UV Disinfection - Structure includes open channel UV equipment for treatment of pathogens before discharge. Solids Building - Structure consisting of solids thickening, chemical feed systems and process pump equipment. Admin. Building - Structure consisting of office space, lab equipment and garage space. Bid Alternate 1 - Cold Storage Building - Pre-engineered building for mechanical equipment storage. Bid Alternate 2 - Demolish Existing Treatment Plan Structures Bid Alternate 3 - Aluminum Conductors for Major Power Feeders. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents.
