As of December 20 2021 this project has been completed. This project is a modification of existing flow and level control structures and the addition of electrical control devices to remotely control the flows and levels of the effected lakes and channel. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, skills, and performing all operations required to fully construct the Work. The Work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization and demobilization; installing erosion control BMPs, silt fence, flotation silt curtain, inlet protection, protection of existing bituminous trail/paths, protection of existing concrete Keller control structure, protection of existing concrete Phalen outlet structures and their foundations, erosion control construction entrance, control of water maintaining a constant base flow through structures and/or dewatering to perform work. Work will involve working in waters of the State and will need coffer dams to direct base flows pass structures to perform the work. Work includes; removal of trees, brush and vegetation; removal and salvage of existing large trash racks, removal and disposal of 24" RCP flared end sections and trash rack, excavation and grading around existing structures, installing granite riprap and filter material, protection of existing concrete structures during modifications, saw cutting and removal of partial concrete weir walls, installation of RC pipe and flared end section with trash racks and connecting to existing concrete structures, installation of 72" Dia. control structure manholes with integral base, door hatch cast into top slab, weir walls for installing drop weir gates and electric actuators, adding additional weir walls in over flow structures, furnishing and installing large trash rack, saw cutting and removal of partial top of channel weir and installing large drop weir gates with interconnected gearbox and electric actuator, installing granite riprap and filter material, working with Excel Energy to install power drops to two sites and installing service entrances, installing control panels and connecting power to actuators, installation of SCADA communications and remote valve controls, repair/restoration of any damage to existing bituminous trails/paths and/or damage to existing control or outlet structures and their foundations, control of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at and around construction sites, site restoration/seeding with native seed mixes provided by Owner and restoring turf grass areas with sod or turf grass seed; installing erosion control blanket on all exposed soils. Clean-up of sites and removal/disposal of temporary erosion control BMPs at the completion of Work, all as provided for in the Bidding Documents.
