Through this Request for Proposals the City intends to retain an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Consulting firm registered with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontarios Registry, Appraisal and Qualifications System (RAQS) under the specialty Pavement Engineering - Soils and Pavement Investigations - Routine to conduct comprehensive pavement and subsurface soils investigations. The Consultant shall be required to prepare a pavement design report, prepare and implement a soil sampling and analysis plan and prepare an excess soil characterization report with respect to the reconstruction of Orchard Drive and Pringle Drive. The geotechnical findings are to be evaluated based on the most current engineering principles and experience available to ensure the most cost effective and efficient construction practices are used in the design for the reconstruction of this road.
