Conservation Halton is interested in contracting for the following works at its Scotch Block Dam in Milton, Ontario; The Scotch Block Dam was constructed in 1971 to create a water storage reservoir whose primary purpose is low flow augmentation and flood control. The main water-retaining structures include an embankment dam 125 m long and 15 m high with 914 mm (36-in.) and 305 mm (12-in.) diameter low-level discharge pipes for low flow release, and a concrete emergency spillway weir controlled by an Obermeyer gate. The C20044-01 project consists of installing an approximately 90m long French Drain along the west concrete retaining wall of the emergency spillway.
