Site work for a civil project in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
.1 Pulverization of the current pavement structure to a depth of 450mm to produce a homogenous mixture. .2 Widen the road slightly utilizing 0mm to 250mm of the homogenous mixture to accommodate the new pavement structure. .3 Supply and place a new pavement structure anticipated to be approximately 75mm of Asphalt, 150mm of GBC, geo-gridding/cloth and 300mm Cement Stabilized Subgrade @ 25kg/m2. The final pavement width will be between 8m and 9m on areas of the roadway that aren't confined by urban/semi-urban appurtenances, which might be wider. .4 Improve ditch and surface drainage where possible. .5 Remove, abandon or replace culverts as needed. The condition of culverts throughout the project vary from excellent (recently replaced) to very poor.
