The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a full facility retrofit and hardening of Flagler County Fire Station #62, located at 100 Utility Street Bunnell, FL 32110. This project will include gable bracing reinforcement, installation of hurricane straps, installation of hurricane shutters and replacing of garage bay doors (where applicable), with impact resistant missile rated products. The project shall provide protection against 140 mph winds or the wind speed protection and impact requirements indicated by the 2017 Florida Building Code 6th edition, at the time permits are issued. All installations will be in strict compliance with the Florida Building Code and all materials shall be certified to meet wind and impact standards. The local municipal or county building department will inspect and certify installation according to the manufacturers' specification.
