In general, the work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for the recoating of two ground level steel water storage tanks, installation of perimeter guard rails atop both water storage tanks, and the exterior recoating of various other equipment at a groundwater treatment plant site. All facilities are owned by the Sacramento County Water Agency and are located at 2280 Maritime Drive, Elk Grove, CA 95758. The work includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation and coating application of the interior and exterior surfaces of a ground level steel the water storage tank (0.5 MG, built in 2003) and a ground level steel backwash tank (0.15 MG, built in 2003); application of caulking inside both tanks; installation of a new guard rail atop both tanks; exterior surface preparation and coating application of three pumping stations, a three-filter filtration station, a raw water well, all piping and appurtenances associated with the aforementioned; and compliance with all health, safety, and other applicable federal,state or local regulations whose jurisdiction the facilities are located within. Due to the current public health order, there will be no in-person pre-bid meeting or site visit. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder.
