Renovation of a municipal facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project involves renovations to the 8th fir Council Member's Toilet & Locker and the 9th floor Mayors Toilet and Shower Room which includes removal of existing toilet and partition stalls, wall urinal, lowering of shower entrance curbing, new shower stall fixtures, grab bars, install new powered ceiling return vent; replace shower stall ceramic tile and flooring, asbestos removal, and painting of existing gypsum board walls and ceilings. The Hawaii Products Preference pursuant to Act 175, SLH 2009 is applicable to this project. Persons wishing to certify and qualify a product as a Hawaii Product shall submit by email a Certification for Hawaii Product Preference (SPO form 38) for each product to Purchasing Division no later than November 10, 2020 - 10 days before bid opening. Late submittals for this solicitation will not be reviewed by the County. Please email the Certification for Hawaii Produce Preference (SPO form 38) to iared.masuda@co.maui.hi.us of the Purchasing Division. The Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations of the Secretary of Labor implementing Executive Order 11246, as amended shall be complied with on this project. Each proposal shall be on a form furnished by the Department of Public Works, County of Maui. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
