Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Souris, North Dakota. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Plans call for a replacement bridge over the Souris River. Design work should be completed along with an environmental study by the summer of 2021. The new structure is expected to be at least 50 feet longer than the previous bridge that collapsed. As of October 29, 2020, the Ward County Commission recently issued a solicitation for an engineering firm for design. At this time, is is not known when proposals or qualifications are due. Design is anticipated to be completed by the summer of 2021.
