As of April 26, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. This project is included in the City of Newton Capital Improvement Plan fiscal year 2024-2028. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Existing bathhouse is in poor condition with limited accessibility. Renovate/Replace bathhouse and improve swim beach front. Built in 1931, this is a 9,581 square foot seasonal building that provides restrooms and changing facilities for use of the Crystal Lake Public Beach for approximately two months during the summer. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
