Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for the Community Hospital Cafeteria Dishwashing Room renovation. This will include but is not limited to: the installation of a new dish machine, upgrades to the infrastructure to support the new equipment and new room layout. The work will also consist of the following; Mechanical upgrades to include, drains, ventilation (Redistribution of existing and new supply, returns and exhaust ducts), lights update and new utilities runs. Abatement of the existing duck work for the existing cooking hood and overall finish up grades throughout the kitchen area. To limit the size of the public gathering, bidders are strongly encouraged to submit bids using an electronic proposal or submit bids as early as possible by using a delivery service and the bid modification process permitted in part (7) of section 3 of the information for bidders. If you are delivering the bid proposal in person bidders are asked to stay in their vehicle to finalize their proposals. Bidders wishing to access the building must be at the main entrance to the building between 1:25 pm and 1:45 pm, and those bidders arriving after 1:45 pm are not assured entry into the building. Only one person from each bidder will be allowed in the bid opening room. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 140 calendar days, after all final approvals, which may include approvals of the New York State Attorney General and the Office of the State Comptroller. Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the campus and at: SUNY Upstate, Contracts & Campus Purchasing, 650 South Salina Street, 2nd Floor, Syracuse, NY 13202 and Plan & Print Systems, Inc., 6160 Eastern Ave Syracuse, NY 13211 Bids must be submitted as three (3) complete packages, which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 21% MBE and 9% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
