Demolition and site work for a residential development in Christopher, Illinois. Working plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

**As of March 3, 2022 , no bids were received.** The City Council of the City of Christopher will receive sealed bids for the demolition, under the successful bid, of the following described real property: Lots One (1) And Two (2) In Block B. Of Emma Dye's Addition To The Village of Now City of Christopher, Franklin County, Illinois, Subject To All Public And Private Roads And Easements. Common Address: 118 W. Market Street, Christopher, Illinois 62822. Said property contains a dilapidated brick structure. Bids for the demolition of the aforesaid real estate are hereby invited and will be received by the Mayor at the City Hall on normal business days between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M The successful bidder will be required to agree to and be bound by the City of Christopher's Bid Specifications - Demolition; said Bid Specifications may be obtained from City Hall. The bid may be awarded to the lowest bidder whose bid is found to be in the best interest of the City of Christopher. The City of Christopher reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The City of Christopher further reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and to make an award of the demolition within thirty (30) days after the bids have been opened and publicly read. This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. The Department of Labor publishes the prevailing wage rates . The Department revises the prevailing wage rates and the contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department's web site for revisions to the prevailing wage rates. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage requirements and notice and record keeping duties.
