Renovation of a detention facility in Waupun, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of March 31, 2021, an award has been made and the project has been completed. Retrofit installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems to protect existing inmate housing barracks Fox Lake Correctional Institution. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Fox Lake Correctional Institution has two buildings (#9 and #10) of similar layout but differing structure. The Correctional Institution Buildings (EH1 and EH2) consists of two buildings of substantially similar structure, condition and layout. Security background check applications (included in this bid package) are required to be submitted for every visitor / attendee, at least 48 hours in advance of the visit. Allow extra time at entry for security clearance and procedural screening. Screening may include COVID-19 screening procedures in place at that time.
