**As of February 12, 2021, this is still in the evaluation stage pending award. This Project consists of adding a whole campus Emergency Generator. The Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch will be housed in a new metal building located next to the existing Powerhouse. The entire campus would be on Emergency power. Having the campus loop available under emergency power will allow for normal campus operations (including HVAC systems, which are currently served from the campus central plant) during any power outage. The Clinic Building's generator will remain, providing the campus Emergency Generator to serve as a third level of safety, without having to disturb the Clinic. The campus will become a hurricane "shelter in place" campus. There will be a single power downtime during switchover in lieu of multiple power downtimes across the campus at different times. It will be easier and faster to maintain a single Generator in lieu of the existing 16, and easier and faster to conduct testing on a single Generator in lieu of the existing 16. As a result, most of the existing generators may gradually be taken out of service by the Facility maintenance staff (leaving the Clinic Generator system untouched), when it is most convenient. Locating the generator set and attendant transformer and transfer switch equipment inside of the new building will increase its longevity and ease maintenance. This Project will include Architectural, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing work. The new Emergency Power Generator will be located on the Richmond SSLC campus near Building 512 & 537. A new metal building will house the new campus generator. The entire campus will be on emergency power and the campus will become a hurricane "shelter in place" campus. There are a total of 16 existing generators on campus. The Clinic building generator will remain. The rest of the campus will be powered by one single generator which will be faster and easier to maintain. Anticipated Contract Execution Date 2/26/2021. The date of substantial completion is estimated to be 750 calendar days from the commencement date in the NTPC
