The City is requesting proposals from qualified offerors to provide the City with small water meter installation, repair and consulting services pursuant to the attached agreement. BACKGROUND The City of Chandler is seeking proposals from qualified Offerors to assist the City with the replacement of water meters ranging in size from 5/8" to 2". The successful Contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the replacements including resident notification and customer service, removal and installation, repair and grade restoration. The Contractor will also be responsible for providing electronic files/data for exchanges to be transferred to the City's billing system. Additional consulting services may also be provided upon request from the City. The City will purchase and provide the meters and associated items to be installed by the Contractor. Meter products for installation will be issued to the Contractor from the City's Meter Services Building ("O" Building) located at 975 E. Armstrong Way. The following products will be provided: Neptune meters Signal devices Boxes and lids Rubber gaskets This is a one-time capital improvement project. The City anticipates that approximately 9,000 meters will be replaced under the contract resulting from this solicitation. However, no volume of installations is guaranteed. These exchanges will bring the City's meter inventory to 100% uniform as Neptune, as well as replace the oldest Neptune meters in alignment with our Aged Meter Replacement Programs.
