Site work for a civil project in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Construction Contract to widen Interstate 5 between the State Route 14 Interchange and Parker Road along with Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) improvements between Interstate 405 and Interstate 210. The Project is in the City of Santa Clarita and the unincorporated area of the Los Angeles County. It covers approximately 17 miles in total, with 13.6 centerline miles of median widening to accommodate one HOV lane in each direction from north of SR-14 to just south of Parker Road interchange. It also includes outside widening for auxiliary lanes at various locations between SR-14 and Parker Road to enhance operation and safety. It also implements ITS improvements, including count stations, closed-circle television (CCTV), and ramp metering. The Project extends HOV lanes on I-5 from the newly constructed HOV lanes south of the SR-14 interchange at Post Mile (PM) R45.0 to just south of the Parker Road interchange at PM R59.6. It will also incorporate a northbound truck lane along I-5 from SR-14 to Calgrove Blvd, a southbound truck lane from Pico Canyon Road/Lyons Avenue to SR-14 and new or extended auxiliary lanes between interchanges at six locations. The Weldon Canyon Overcrossing (OC) will be reconstructed and seven existing bridge structures between SR-14 and Parker Road will be widened. Retaining walls, Sound walls, and other related improvements are included. DBE- 12 %
