The City of Cocoa's Utility Department is soliciting competitive bids for the replacement of defective coating on the round aeration tank and the rectangular parallel duplex Bardenpho process tanks located at the Jerry Sellers Water Reclamation Facility Question / Answer Deadline Extended to December 4, 2020 at 5:00pm ET Anticipated Award Date 1/22/2021 Bid Bond Required Yes The Contractor will be expected to provide a high measure of quality services, cost intuitive to the City's budgetary requirements, meet grant specific factors, impromptu response to issues, thorough and consistent communication with the Project Manager, on-time project timeline management, on-time invoicing and complete work without delay or error. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid/proposals, with or without a cause; to waive technical errors and informalities; and to award bid/proposals to the lowest responsive, responsible bid/proposer. One or more of the City Council members may be present at the bid/proposal opening. There is a 5% bid bond required commensurate of the total base bid. Liquidated Damages for this project are $500.00 daily charge per calendar day. The City of Cocoa supports local contractors and offers a five (5%) percent preference given to Brevard County contractors / contractors whose physical business address is within the physical boundaries of Brevard County and such location is evidenced by the local business tax receipt issued for at least six (6) months prior to the date the bid is submitted.
