The 2,000,000 gallon, fluted column, elevated tank is located at Fern Road, Glassboro, New Jersey (Block 205, Lots 15-26). A Pre-Bid conference has not been scheduled for this project. Bidders questions are requested by November 19, 2020. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelopes containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Borough of Glassboro. This Contract is being bid in accordance with local public contract bid laws and Bidders shall comply with the Local Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-1 et seq. 1. Sickels & Associates, Inc. can Fed Ex the Bidding Documents from the office. If the bidder supplies their own Fed Ex shipping no., Sickels & Associates, Inc. will utilize that information for shipping. The protocol includes: Bids will be opened and read aloud in the offices of Sickels and Associates Inc., at the time and date designated in the Notice to Bidders. Any observers of the opening are requested to refrain from person to person contact (i.e. handshaking, etc.) and maintain a minimum of 10 feet of personal space between individuals (i.e. social distancing). Any observers of the bid opening are requested to follow the prevailing health and public safety guidelines from applicable authorities. Bids must be accompanied by a Certificate of Surety from an acceptable surety and a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Borough of Glassboro in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount but not in excess of $20,000.00 . Certificate of Surety shall be written by a surety company listed on the United States Treasury Department Circular 570 and the New Jersey List of Approved Surety Companies. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Borough of Glassboro and the Engineer reserve the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from the prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the contract. The Borough of Glassboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities or minor defects therein, should it be deemed in the best interest of the Borough of Glassboro. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the specifications .
