As of April 27, 2022, the project has been awarded and construction is expected to commence after July 11, 2022. The Project includes the following Work: Winnequah Road will be partially reconstructed from the intersection of Bridge Road and Winnequah Road to the intersection of Schluter Road and Winnequah Road. Additional areas of mill and overlay on Winnequah Trail and Tonyawatha Trail are included as an alternate. Construction on Winnequah Road and Alternative No. 1 will include approximately 25,000 square yards of asphalt milling, 4,000 tons of asphalt pavement, 250 linear feet of 12 inch storm sewer, 2,500 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 23,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk and driveways, 3,500 square feet of concrete speed humps, and 675 vertical square feet of retaining wall, and 19,200 linear feet of pavement markings. The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 10% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. The City of Monona reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. Prospective Bidders are required to complete and submit a prequalification questionnaire with supporting documents to OWNER (see Instructions to Bidders).
