Contract 1 includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a triplex wastewater pump station with two 140 HP submersible pumps initially installed, precast concrete structures, solids cutter, odor control chemical feed and storage equipment, surgeelief valve, flow meter, electrical service, standby power generator, electrical equipment rack, piping, valves, manholes, site clearing and grading, erosion control measures, site seeding and stabilization, landscaping, fencing, gravel access driveway construction, and final cleanup. Pump Station shall be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Diehl & Phillips, P.A., and with the Town of Apex Standard Specifications and details. Contract 2 includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 7,850 LF of 16-inch C905 PVC force main pipe, 442 LF of 16-inch DR9 HDPE force main pipe installed by horizontal directional drilling, ductile iron fittings with Protecto 401 lining, four 16-inch resilient wedge gate valves and valve boxes, 8 combination air valve manholes, 20 tracer wire test stations, 20 force main marker posts, 2,439 LF of 18- inch C905 PVC gravity sewer pipe, 123 LF of 8-inch C900 PVC gravity sewer pipe, 7 six-foot diameter flat top precast concrete manholes, 7 five-foot diameter flat top precast concrete manholes, pipe connection into existing manhole, potholing existing utilities, asphalt repairs, stream bank stabilization, rip-rap permanent stream crossings Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed in the State of North Carolina, in accordance with North Carolina General Statues, to do contracting of the type and value required by the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, and to reject any or all bids for any reason determined to be in the best interest of the Owner. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
