The sealed bids will be reviewed by the Derry Township Municipal Authority sometime after 2:00 pm (local time) on December 10, 2020. No award of a contract will be made at the bid opening. This project generally consists of the replacement of the existing raw sewage pumps with new dry-pit submersible pumps, replacement of the existing pump VFDs with new VFDs, replacement of the existing pump control panel with a new control panel, replacement of the existing Power Center No. 1 Switchboard and MCC-1 with new MCCs, and related process mechanical and electrical work, as presented in the Contract Documents. The project is located at the Clearwater Road Wastewater Treatment Facility in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workers employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Addenda, answers to bidder questions, and clarifications when required, will also be issued through online. The deadline for questions is December 4, 2020 at 4:00 pm. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank money order or Bid Bond payable to Derry Township Municipal Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with the provisions in the Instructions to Bidders. All bids shall remain irrevocable for ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978. The Authority reserves the right to accept any bid and reject any or all bids.
