City of Malvern, Arkansas will accept separate sealed bids on a General Contract for A NEW FIRE STATION to be located at 712 W. Moline, Malvern, Arkansas. The extent of work will include the demolition of an existing fire station building, cut and fill of existing soils, the construction of a New Fire Station of approximately 13,664 SF and asphalt parking. The construction consists of slab on grade, 2 story wood construction with a standing seam metal roof that contains the Fire Department Dormitory and the Fire Department Administration. The center portion of the building for the Apparatus Bay will be CMU walls and wood roof structure with standing seam metal roof. Bona Fide General Bidders may secure copies of the proposed Contract Documents from the Architect on the following basis:
A. One copy of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by a general contractor with a deposit of $200.00 and any associated shipping costs (Check payable to Pumphrey Architecture, Inc., Inc.) from Southern Reprographics in Little Rock, Arkansas. The deposit is refundable if the sets are returned within five days after the bid and are in good condition. B. Bids submitted using SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS obtained at any other source than the ones listed below will be subject to rejection. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the following location:

Southern Reprographics, 901 W. 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72201 All bids must be submitted on forms furnished in the Contract Document, submitted in DUPLICATE and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked to show the name and address of the bidder, contract job number, contractor's license number, and date and time of bid opening. Bidders are required to have an Arkansas Contractor's License. This is in accordance with Arkansas State Statute 71-701 et seq. Each bid submitted must contain the following items:
2. Bid form, signed by bidder. 3. A bid Guarantee in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid. The bid Guarantee can be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Malvern; a U.S. Government Bond endorsed to the City of Malvern; or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish an Arkansas Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Bid for contracts that exceed $ 25,000 in accordance with Arkansas Statute 18-44-503. The City of Malvern reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Malvern.
