Renovation of a municipal facility in New Kent, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work includes, but is not limited to the furnishing of the labor, materials and equipment and the construction of the following: 1. Installation of supplemental steel to support new RTU's. 2. Roof modifications to support removal of existing roof top mechanical equipment and installation of new roof top mechanical equipment. 3. Removal and replacement of existing ceiling systems. 4. Removal of existing VRV HVAC systems. 5. Installation of new VAV HVAC systems. 6. Electrical modifications to support removal of existing HVAC systems and installation of new mechanical systems. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check, satisfactory evidence of a cash escrow, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. Questions will be received up until August 9 th, 2020. A final addendum, if necessary, will be sent out on or prior to November 13th, 2020. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by Owner. Questions will be received up until December 8th, 2020. A final addendum, if necessary, will be sent out on or prior to December 11th, 2020.
