The City of Hartford seeks to retain the services of a qualified contractor experienced in the area of traffic signal construction and repair services. The selected company shall have demonstrated in their submission skills and experience in the electrical and physical construction items for traffic signal construction and the availability of personnel licensed in electrical trades with specific experience in Traffic Signal construction. Any task priced at $50,000.00 or more will require Performance & Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the dollar value of the task. Bonds are not required with bid submission. Where bonding is required, 15% MWBE requirements must be met for each task, subcontracts to be submitted prior to commencement of the work. MWBEs are not required with bid submission. Section 1: Response Forms must be submitted with your bid. No Contract or Purchase Order, regardless of how procured, shall be awarded to any Person or Candidate that is not an equal opportunity employer. The successful respondent, as a condition of being awarded this contract shall agree to comply with all contractual Equal Employment Opportunity /Affirmative Action performance requirements as outlined herein. A certificate of insurance must be presented to the City in order for the Contract to take effect. The certificate must name the City as an additional insured on the face of the document and must bear the original signature of an authorized Agent for the Producer. All policies must be written on a per occurrence basis. The Provider is responsible for the cost of maintaining such insurance throughout the duration of the project.
