Renovation of a multi-residential development in Brimfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
As of February 4 2021 this project has and awarded bidder and the project has started. The Project consists of replacement of asphalt shingled roofing, flashings and accessories; also, new attic insulation for two multi-family residence buildings located on the BRIMFIELD HOUSING AUTHORITY site known as COLONIAL PARK in Brimfield, Massachusetts Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of Roofing. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including the Alternate) and made payable to the Brimfield Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 OR 10 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE BID DATE.
