As of February 9 2021 project Shook Construction Co. was awarded a construction contract for $1,206,400. The construction Notice to Proceed date will be 3/15/21. The successful Bidder also must comply with all the provisions of (a) The Davis-Bacon Act, (b) Contract Work Hours Standard Act, (c) The Copeland Act (Anti-Kickback) and (d) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Contract will be subject to the NEORSD policies and goals regarding the use of minority, women, and small business enterprises (MBE/WBE/SBE) and the USEPA Disadvantages Business Enterprises (DBE [MBE/WBE]) Utilization Program. These policies are contained in the Contract Specifications. The MBE/WBE/SBE goals for this Contract are as follows: USEPA DBE Program: MBE >= 1.3% WBE >= 1.0% NEORSD Program: (MBE + WBE) >= 15% NEORSD SBE Program: SBE >= 5% In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: > The Work to be performed under this Contract includes but is not limited to: Installation of flush valves and piping in Primary Settling Tanks Nos. 1-10; installation of 3" ductile iron NPW piping in Tunnel 8A and 3" stainless steel NPW piping in Skimmings Building No. 2 and installation of concrete fill in Skimmings Building No. 1 pump station wet well. > Cleaning and disposal of solids, grit, sludge and other materials within the channels, settling tanks and connecting conduits. > Demolition and removal of existing aluminum handrails, posts and concrete. > Installation of new aluminum handrailing at Primary Settling Tanks Nos. 1-6. > Recoating of process piping within Tunnel 8A. > Replacement of existing Non-Potable Water (NPW) piping expansion joints within Tunnel 8A. > Concrete repairs. > Site restoration that includes seeding and mulching, sidewalk replacement and other site improvements.
