For Massapoag Avenue Water Tank Replacement In general and without limitation the work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a 297,900 gallon composite style, elevated, glass-fused-to-steel, water storage tank with a 56-foot tall cast-in-place, concrete pedestal; tank mixing system; demolition/removal of the existing welded steel, standpipe storage tank; site work; utilities; fencing; earthwork; associated equipment and controls; mechanical and electrical equipment; instrumentation and SCADA integration, and all necessary and incidental appurtenances to complete the installation. The Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, apparatus and all other incidental work required to complete the construction of the water storage tank and demolition of the existing standpipe as specified herein and shown on the Drawings. The Work shall include, but is not limited to the following: 1. Site work, including excavation, earth support, backfilling, compaction, grading, access driveway improvements including reclamation of existing pavement, rough grading, and fine grading, bituminous concrete tank apron, and utilities installation, including tank overflow piping with underground drainage infrastructure, temporary fencing, permanent fencing, tree planting, and site restoration. 2. Furnish and install of all water piping, fittings, valves, hydrants, thrust blocks, restrained joints, couplings and appurtenances as described in these Specifications, shown on the Drawings and as directed by the Engineer as required for the installation of the new water main to the water storage tank. Perform all required testing and disinfection of the water mains within the limit of work. 3. Furnish, install, disinfect and test the new composite, elevated, water storage tank including foundation, tank support structure, interior tank piping and valves, tank appurtenances, etc, as specified for the new water tank. The Contractor shall supply his own water for construction purposes.
