This project provides for the planning, design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction for widening and intersection improvements along Waxpool Road (Route 625) at Loudoun County Parkway (Route 607). The scope of work includes the development of triple left-turn lanes from Westbound Waxpool Road onto Southbound Loudoun County Parkway, and a channelized free flow right-turn lane with an acceleration lane from Northbound Loudoun County Parkway onto Eastbound Waxpool Road. Upon completion, there will be Westbound Waxpool Road left turns onto Southbound Loudoun County Parkway, and Eastbound rightturn lanes from Loudoun County Parkway onto Waxpool Road. The project's production schedule was revised during the FY 2023 CIP budget development process based on the most recent projection for the duration of the development phases. This project is included in the city's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of March 23, 2023, the project is in design revision. Construction will follow the completion of ROW acquisition. This project will go out to bid in the Spring of 2024, and a Notice to Proceed will be issued in the Winter of 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
