Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Upon inspection it was discovered that the new sections of the Events and Conference Management spaces were not equipped with Emergency Exit Signs. This project is required in order to install Emergency Exit Signs to help direct tenants to proper emergency exits. Some areas such as the basement levels of the building was not part of Phase I. Consultant to take into account many long hours onsite to have a detailed walkthrough throughout all building floors for new and repair existing ones. Patch and paint behind every emergency sign and surroundings to the original asthetic appeal of the new and existing signages. The consultant will measure light level readings to determine the best option for signage. Consultant to consider that some existing emergency exit signs are connected to important heritage characters such as marble, this must be repaired with new connections and signs option that meet the aesthetic and heritage character of the building. TIMELINE: Consult will conduct an audit & report. Project will not be tendered. Coverage discontinued.
