Renovation of a water / sewer project in Alpena, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of December 22, 2020 the project has not been awarded. It is expected to be awarded on January 4, 2021. The City of Alpena will receive Proposals for the installation of fifteen (15) butterfly valves and pneumatic actuators for the Water Treatment Plant conventional filter system. Project location/delivery site is the City of Alpena Water Treatment Plant, 1300 State Street Alpena, Michigan 49707. The City reserves the right to reject any proposals and to waive irregularities in proposals, which may be in the best interest of the City. Contractor shall supply all labor, tools, equipment and incidental materials required to install the valves and actuators. The valves and actuators will be provided by the City of Alpena. Valves/actuators will meet the specifications of existing: AWWA C504/C516 Butterfly valves which common fact to face dimensions - direct fit of existing. These valves shall meet all AWWA codes/requirements for drinking water treatment applications. There are five (5) valves/actuators for each of three (3) filters - fifteen (15) total valves and fifteen (15) total actuators. Prior to bidding a site visit is required to ensure scope of work. Project located at City of Alpena Water Filtration Plant 1300 State Street Alpena, MI 49707. Removal of existing valves and actuators. Installation of new valves and actuators - materials provided by City of Alpena. All flange accessories: gaskets, nuts and bolts will also be provided by City of Alpena. Conduct the removal and installation one (1) filter at a time. Disposal of the existing valves/actuators is to be part of the project. Provide estimated schedule of project completion timeline. Provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment required to complete the project. A field representative from valve Supplier/Manufacturer will be onsite to assist with any installation questions. Connection of the actuators to air supply lines is to be done by others. Connection of the actuators to SCADA is to be done by others.
