The services to be provided include the receipt, classification, packaging, transportation, treatment, and proper recycling/disposal of household (hazardous) chemical waste at a facility, in accordance with all applicable permits and approvals issued by State and federal authorities, including but not limited to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the United State Department of Transportation (USDOT) (collectively, the "Services"), all as more particularly described in the bid specifications. The materials will be received at the John T. Dempster Fire Training School, 350 Bakers Basin Road, Lawrence Township, New Jersey (the "Collection Site"). The successful bidder will enter into a three (3) year contract with the MCIA to provide the Services at three (3) Household Hazardous Waste ("HHW") Disposal Events to be scheduled for each of the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, with two (2) option years (2024 & 2025). The MCIA will conduct three (3) HHW Disposal Events in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. One event will be scheduled in March, June, and September. The dates for the Year 2021 will be Saturday, March 27, Saturday, June 5, and Saturday, September 11. The MCIA will notify the contractor by December 31 of the Disposal Event dates for the next calendar year. All dates are subject to change at the discretion of the MCIA upon (15) days notice to the contractor. Therefore, the contractor shall agree to perform the work on alternate dates as determined by the MCIA in accordance with the terms and conditions of these bid documents. The MCIA will coordinate any new Disposal Event dates with the contractor. Receipt of materials for each HHW Disposal Event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and terminate at 2:00 p.m. Bid prices shall be fixed for the full term of the three-year contract and not subject to increase during the term of the contract. No additional charges shall be allowed for any added disposal costs, transportation costs, or shipment costs. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A; 11-1- et.seq., pertaining to the "Local Public Contracts Law."
