This Request for Quotations the RFQ is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the Board) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Window & Roof Replacement and Air Conditioning Installation at Fairfield Elementary School as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the Deliverables). (1) Window and Roof Replacement The project includes for the removal and replacement of all existing windows in the building with new extruded aluminum windows. In addition, the project includes for localized roof and siding replacement and masonry work associated with the window replacement. Finally, the project will include for the installation of new roof curbs on Roof A as required to support a concurrent mechanical project. (2) Air Conditioning Installation The project includes the installation of nine (9) air conditioning units and associated power, controls and HVAC work as specified in the specification and drawings. Project Schedule: - All off-site activities related to the project are required to commence immediately upon award, including site measurements, provision of shop drawings, material ordering, etc. The intent is to ensure that all long-lead delivery items required to complete the project are available immediately upon commencement of on-site activities. - All on-site activities related to the project are to commence on June 28th, 2021 without delay. In the event the contractor is awarded more than one project with the Owner, the requirement of this contract is that all work on each project will take place concurrently. - Substantial Performance of the Contract shall be achieved no later than August 27th, 2021. On-site activities occurring after this date will be restricted as required to accommodate the normal operation of the school, including after hours and weekend work, at the cost of the Contractor. All off-site activities related to the project are required to commence immediately upon award, including site measurements, provision of shop drawings, material ordering, etc. The intent is to ensure that all long-lead delivery items required to complete the project are available immediately upon commencement of on-site activities.
