"As of July 14, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established The Idaho State Police Department is seeking a design-build team to provide a turn-key solution for an upgraded campus security system at their Meridian Campus. The project will include an evaluation of the current aging cameras, security system and associated software, electronic gate opening systems, monitoring systems, and software storage systems. Any new additions or modifications to the existing system will need to be evaluated by the design-build team for system capacity, compliance with ADA and existing building codes for egress and life safety. All security upgrades will need to integrate into the existing Hirsch Access Control System. The final deliverable for this work will be a phased delivery plan with pricing and timeline based on priorities outlined by ISP and DPW. The work should not be limited to the technologies that are currently being used. It is anticipated that initial phasing of the plan shall be installed in buildings identified as a priority by the Idaho State Police as part of this project. It is intended that this budget will include fees for the design and integration of the project, services, permitting fees, testing, construction, and construction contingency. A complete construction cost estimate will be required at the end of the Design Phase for final Owner approval prior to proceeding to the Construction Phase. This estimate, when approved, will become the Maximum Contract Price. A complete construction schedule and schedule of values will be required at the completion of the Design Phase and must be kept up to date throughout the project.
