Renovation of a power facility in Winnetka, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The Village of Winnetka Electric Plant operates and maintains generating units that supplement the production of electricity for the service area. The exiting boiler blowdown header has exceeded the operational lifespan and needs to be replaced. Bid Bond 10% M/WBEs are encouraged to participate in the bid process. o Removal of existing boiler blowdown header o Disconnect and dismantle without causing damage to existing piping or surrounding equipment o Removal and proper disposal of parts o Installation of new blowdown header o Material to consist of Schedule 80, seamless steel. o Ceiling mounts shall be used to hang header. o Utilize welded jointed to connect existing auxiliary blowdown lines listed in area break. o High temperature silver paint finish coat. o Additional flange connection to be installed when transitioning between each basement
