Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ewing, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
Ewing Township Board of Education will receive bids for Auditorium Renovations at Ewing High School, Single Overall Contract (C008 or C009 with C032, C047), together with all work incidental hereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C., Architects-Planners, FVHD-5015D5B. No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement. (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(b)). The Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids. Bid Process: Bidders shall go to main entrance of the Administration Building and hand deliver their bid in the secure bin (Labeled with Bid No.: 5015D5B) provided in the reception area from 11:00 am until 1:00 PM. Note that the area is under video surveillance. At 1:00 PM the bids will be taken from the reception area. Bid Proposal shall be submitted in duplicate and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. The Board of Education and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. . The work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. Auditorium Renovations: a. Remove existing auditorium seating in their entirety. New seating shall be provide and installed by the Ewing School District Vendor, as indicated on the drawings. b. Remove existing floor finish, patch/level and repair concrete floor slab for new carpeting / VCT floor finish, as indicated on the drawings. c. Remove and replace Stage flooring, Provide new Stage front and decorative wood panel system, as indicated on the drawings. . Provide and install new steps from Auditorium lower level to the Stage, as indicated on the drawings. e. Provide and install barrier-free wheelchair lift to the Stage, as indicated on the drawings. f. Provide and install new side wall construction / finishes, as indicated on the drawings. g. Provide and install new acoustical clouds, as indicated on the drawings. h. Provide and install new ADA barrier-free access ramp construction and associated work to the new lighting/sound platform, as indicated on the drawings. i. Provide and install new interior wood doors and hardware, as indicated on the drawings. j. Provide and install selective roof demolition work to facilitate the work by the HVACR Subcontractor. k. Provide and install new wall finishes, acoustical treatment in the auditorium, as indicated on the drawings. 2. Provide pre-demolition air balancing of major air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units as indicated on the drawings. 3. Provide new ductwork for the (2) Rooftop Units. 4. Provide new perimeter fin-tube radiators. Replace branch piping, valves, specialties, control valves, and control dampers, where indicated on the Contract Documents. 5. Replace existing exhaust fans per the Contract Documents with gravity ventilators. 6. Provide new house lighting and coordinate power for new theatre lighting. 7. Coordinate power to new AV equipment. 8. Provide electrical circuiting of new mechanical devices outlined in the Contract Documents. 9. All other indicated work Checks for disks and paper sets are payable in advance to Fraytak Veisz Hopkin.
