Scope of Work of the Contract includes the following: Construction of Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer and Water Lines Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter. The scope of work to be performed under this contract consists of constructing storm sewers, sanitary sewers and water lines. All items shown on the Plans and/or called for in the Specifications shall be completed in every detail by the Contractor and placed in good operating condition as to functions in the manner intended by the design. Materials, equipment, labor and supervision shall be the responsibility of the Contractor as herein specified The major items of work are as follows: a. Site preparation to include grading and drainage. b. Approximately 8,079 linear feet of storm sewers, ranging from 18-inch pipe to 72-inch pipe, including type "C" manholes. c. Approximately 11,257 linear feet of water lines. d. Approximately 11,360 linear feet of sanitary sewer. e. Approximately 1,925 linear feet of Non-Potable Water Line The project site is approximately 45 acres, located at the intersection of Tuckerton Rd. & Westgreen Blvd. within Harris County, Texas.
