As of November 16, 2022, construction is complete. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Project consists of the demolition and reconstruction of three existing pedestrian ocean access walkovers in the Whalehead Subdivision in Corolla, North Carolina as identified below: Approximately 264 linear feet of wooden and concrete elevated walkway extending from Old Coral Street and Lighthouse Drive rights-of-way to the Corolla oceanfront. Approximately 263 linear feet of wooden and concrete elevated walkway extending from Old Mackerel Street and Lighthouse Drive rights-of-way to the Corolla oceanfront. Approximately 217 linear feet of wooden and concrete elevated walkway extending from Dolphin Street and Lighthouse Drive rights-of-way to the Corolla oceanfront. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to the County of Currituck, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses and Minority Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids.
