Solicitation no= 4488-56302-6475-56302 The construction of the SR 16 WWTF Headworks & RAS/WAS Improvements project requires the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to perform the work described in the specifications and as shown on the drawings, including the site and stormwater improvements, headworks improvements, clarifier splitter box and RAS/WAS pump station improvements, reject pond liner replacement, chlorine contact chamber overflow pipe, electrical and instrumentation, yard piping, valves, and appurtenances, and permitting per all applicable St. Johns County Utility Department (SJCUD) standards and as provided in the Contract documents. A detailed scope of work including bid items and allowances can be found in the bid documents. Bid Bond Yes Each submitted Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security, submitted on the Bid Bond Form provided herein, or in the form of a certified or cashier's check, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Lump Sum Bid Price (Base Bid + Allowances) amount submitted on the Official County Bid Form, pledging that the Bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds as described hereunder covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds to the Owner, if required, the amount of the Bid Security shall be forfeited, not as penalty, but as liquidated damages Minimum Qualifications Prime bidder must be fully licensed to do business in the State of Florida and hold a current Certified General Contractor's license at the time the bid is due. The existing manual bar screen including 4-inch floor drain and cover shall be modified and installed in channel no. 1 after the existing mechanical bar screen has been removed. Demolition of the existing 4 foot wide x 6 foot 6-inch high embedded slide gate in the by-pass channel. 24-inch and 18-inch diameter influent piping, valves, fittings and accessories.
