The last day for questions is 5:00 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021. Removal and disposal of existing blowers, silencer, process piping and valves; Removal and disposal of existing aeration mixing headers, pump cans and process piping within existing basins; Reinforced concrete work and structural modifications to equipment gallery; Installation of new compressor, blowers, process piping, fittings and valves; Installation of new large bubble mixing system, fine bubble membrane diffusers, air piping and support systems; Electrical and instrumentation work; and appurtenant work. Total replacement of aeration system at Solvang 1.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project must commence by the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The WORK must be completed within 215 Working Days from the Notice to Proceed. The bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashiers check or bidder's bond, made payable to the AGENCY for an amount no less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. The Agency will deduct a five percent (5%) retention from all progress payments as specified in C9 - MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT. The contract will not be awarded to a Contractor who does not hold a valid Class "A" license or the appropriate "C" license in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty (60) days as deemed in its best interest.
