**As of November 17, 2021, project was awarded to Mirador Enterprises Inc for $1,355,574.24. The purpose of the project is to improve the existing local bus service in El Paso along the Montana Street corridor by adding a new bus rapid transit service route, as well as providing a pickup location for rideshare users. A new enclosed station at the El Paso International Airport (EPIA) will be constructed that will follow the development of the Montana Rapid Transit System (RTS), that will also provide a pickup location for rideshare users. Due to the project location being at the El Paso International Airport, the Contractor's and subcontractors' personnel that will be on site will require identification tags at all times and adhere to the EPIA security and badging guidelines, processes and procedures, to include background screenings. The station will consist of a climate controlled building, pedestrian lighting, new sidewalks, landscaping, irrigation, and artwork. The Airport RTS project consists of providing all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals to site demolition and construction of the station which includes but not limited to structural, earthwork, grading, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, landscaping, irrigation, roadwork (concrete paving and HMAC paving), and pavement markings Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of El Paso as obligee and duly executed by the offeror as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total price (including base bid(s), option(s) and alternate(s).
